The day Mrs Howard introduced Minue Minue into our room

A few days ago... Mrs Howard came to school very excited. She saw a video on Facebook and that was Minue Minue. It was hard and we did it a couple of times. Mrs Allen came in to our room and watched us we want to be able to go to assembly and show the whole school.

A Puppet Show

WALT create and perform a puppet show.
Room 10/11 had a great opportunity to create and perform a puppet show from scratch! They had to write the script, make the stage and props such as a butterfly, a cocoon, a caterpillar and different types of foods. They practised for a few weeks and developed their acting and understanding of stage performance. Take a look at Jerome's group’s performance. (Please click the title above the picture)

The little hungry caterpillar
Setting description: There’s mountains and a lake and some trees. In the sky there’s an egg on a leaf.

Narrator: the egg hatches from the leaf.
Narrator: The caterpillar climbed down from the tree.
Narrator: Then the caterpillar looked for some fruits.
Narrator: The caterpillar found cookies.
Narrator: then the caterpillar found a lollipop and some strawberries.
Narrator: the caterpillar was sad that he couldn’t find ice-cream but he finally found some ice creams.
Narrator: then the caterpillar changed into a cocoon.
Narrator: At last the caterpillar turned into a butterfly.
Narrator: the butterfly’s wings are wet but it’s drying its wings.
Narrator: then the butterfly can fly!

Book Character Dress Up Day!

On Thursday 21 November, Room 10/11 had a fun day dressed up as their favourite book characters. There were princesses, witches, wizards, Hairy Maclary and many other characters from different books! It was great to see the love of reading and making a connection to those characters. Well done Room 10/11 for your amazing effort and costumes!
